When you delete a lead the following occurs:
Your lead is no longer tracked for any replies in the master inbox
All comms in the master inbox with your lead is deleted per GDPR and data management regulation compliance
Your positive response, which is attached to the lead is deleted from the analytics
What is sustained:
Your open rate associated with the lead
Your reply rate associated with the lead
Your click rate associated with the lead
