When you hit that unsubscribe button, we don't rush to say goodbye to your data. Instead, we give it a cozy two-week stay in our system. During that period you could subscribe again and get access to the data and use the services without any interruption.


As the two-week grace period ends, a significant change occurs. All accounts that have unsubscribed from SmartLead are gently ushered into what we call the "deletion phase." This is a crucial step in aligning with Data and Privacy best practices. Post this phase, your data becomes inaccessible, ensuring your digital footprint with us is securely and responsibly erased.


We often get asked if it's possible to prolong the data retention period beyond two weeks. As much as we'd love to accommodate such requests, our system is designed to automatically initiate the deletion phase. This process is integral to our commitment to data security and privacy, and unfortunately, it's not something we can manually override.
