Once a campaign is activated, few changes are locked in to maintain the integrity and consistency of the campaign. However, after activating a campaign, you can seamlessly add new custom variables to your existing CSV file and upload them to the campaign and update the values of existing variables in the campaign, all without needing to remove any of the previously uploaded leads. Uploading an updated CSV file will not result in duplicate leads within the campaign; the system intelligently recognizes and merges changes without duplicating existing entries.
If you need to add new custom variables or update existing ones in your campaign, follow these detailed steps to efficiently update your CSV file and ensure your campaign remains effective:
1. Go to your campaign --> Edit icon --> Import leads section.
2. Click on import leads --> select the same CSV file from the files.
3. Here comes the next important step to map the newly added columns from your CSV file to the campaign as custom fields.
4. After mapping, click on save and next.
5. You can check the newly added custom variables in the campaign "Lead list" section.
Updating custom variable
1. Use the same CSV file to update the custom variables in an active campaign.
2. Update the values in the CSV file for the custom variable which you intend to change.
.3. Upload the CSV in the campaign and map the same variable to the custom field
4. Click on save and update the campaign, check the lead list for the updated value, it will be changed.
