When using Smartlead, it's important to understand that deleting an email account from an active campaign can have implications on the associated campaign leads.
This article explains the process and consequences of deleting an email account from an active campaign in Smartlead.
If you delete an email account that is associated with an active campaign in Smartlead, it will cause the existing campaign leads associated with that email account to be stopped from receiving further emails.
This is because the email account associated with the lead has been deleted, and Smartlead will no longer be able to use that email account for sending emails to those leads.
If you want to re-add the same email account after deleting it from an active campaign.
From the campaign performance tab you can re-add the email account and the emails will be sent to the leads and there won’t be any issues. you can also readd the email account and then reassociate the leads to some other mailboxes in the same campaign.
Once an email account has been deleted from an active campaign, the associated mailbox will no longer be used for any new leads going forward. This means that any new leads added to the campaign will not be sent emails from the deleted email account.
However, it's important to note that any leads that are "in progress" at the time of email account deletion will also not receive any new emails, as the email account associated with those leads has been deleted.
