With Smartlead's latest update, you can now control the “Inbox Preview Text”, the small snippet next to the subject line in your recipient’s inbox.

The preview text is as important as the subject line for email opens. It provides additional information and context, influencing the recipient’s email opening decision. Until now, the preview text was auto-generated from the email body. With this new feature, you can craft your preview text for maximum impact.
With Smartlead’s preview text enrichment, you can stand out in crowded inboxes, increase your open rates, deliver a professional first impression, and stay aligned with email best practices.
Here’s how to use this new feature:
When creating your email campaign in Smartlead, you can see a new field called "Inbox Preview" in Step 1 of the campaign creation process (as shown in the following screenshot). This field allows you to enter custom preview text.
Below the text box, there’s a real-time preview of how the inbox will display your Subject Line and Preview text.
Click on this button right below the Preview Text field
You will see a popup window with a preview of the Subject line and Preview Text.
Adding preview Text to your outreach email offers better context and encourages more people to open your emails. It’s a subtle but effective way to improve your campaign performance.
Tip: Keep the Preview Text within 35-90 characters.
