We just launched Domain-level Rate Limiting to further improve email deliverability for your low-volume inboxes. Let’s take a look at what it is:
Smartlead’s Domain-level rate limiting feature improves email deliverability for low-volume mailboxes, especially those with low daily sending limits. If you're using a mailbox vendor on Outlook with a sending limit under 5 emails per day, enabling this feature ensures your emails get better inbox placement.
When using low-volume mailboxes or mailboxes with a low daily sending limit, there’s a risk of overwhelming the mailbox provider’s servers. This can flag your emails as spam or your mailboxes might get blocked entirely.
By enabling Domain-level rate limiting, you control how many emails are sent at once. This reduces the risk of being flagged by spam filters and ensures better inbox placement over time.
Enabling this feature helps to:
Control sending concurrency: It slows down how quickly emails are sent from your domain to prevent overwhelming the mailbox.
Increase deliverability: Reduces the chances of your emails being flagged as spam, especially for low-volume mailboxes or those with low sending limits.
This feature is ideal if:
You’re using a mailbox provider on Outlook that has low-volume mailboxes.
You have a mailbox with a daily sending limit of fewer than 5 emails.
You’re looking to improve reply rates and overall deliverability for your cold emails campaigns.
Navigate to the particular email campaign or create a new email campaign.
Now, on the Campaign Settings page, scroll down on the General tab.
Click on “Enable domain-level rate limiting” under the “Domain-level Rate Limiting” section.
Click on “Save general Settings” to implement the change.
Once enabled, Smartlead will automatically control how emails are sent, ensuring they’re spaced out properly to maintain your domain's reputation.
